Tellington TTouch Workshop for Dogs and Dog Owners with Jetta Reis

Robin will host a full day workshop with Tellington TTouch practitioner Jetta Reis from Make you Dog Smile, which will give the dog handler and canine partner an introduction to the basics of TTouch.

Jetta's workshop techniques will introduce owners to canine language, e.g. calming signals, barking and introductory use of touches, and also groundwork exercises.

TTouch is a system of gentle bodywork and movement exercises, which positively influence behaviour and wellbeing in dogs. TTouch is based on co-operation and understanding and will deepen the relationship between dogs and their people.

Price for this full day workshop is £60.00 for a dog owner with their dog, please note spaces with dogs are limited and this environment may not suit dogs that are extremely reactive.

However, spectator spaces are also available at a price of £20 so dog owners can come without their dogs and spectate during the workshop and get ideas on how to help their reactive dogs to feel calmer.

Refreshments (tea & coffee) are available on the day, but please bring a packed lunch.

Location is the Memorial Hall in Mallusk, the event is from 10am - 4.30pm but registration begins at 9.30am.

Tickets are now on sale here for both dog owners who want to bring their dog along to practise with and also for spectator spaces.

Rhodes 2 Safety Canine First Aid Workshop

Rhodes 2 Safety Canine First Aid Workshop

Friday 15 September 2017 at 6pm at Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary

Rhodes 2 Safety are delighted to be bringing their canine first aid workshop back to Northern Ireland.

The K9 1st Aid courses delivered by Rhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 in the 2017 Business Excellence Awards, so you know the information and service you get will be second-to-none.

They deal with shock, bleeding, choking, bites, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration.

Students do not bring their dogs, but the instructor will have one or two of her Ridgebacks with her for demonstration purposes.

Each student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies, the course generates 3 CPD points.

Everybody will be seated in a horseshoe so that everybody is in the front row so nobody should be struggling to see.

During the bandaging section, the instructor will demonstrate on one of her dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient.

This session is sure to be fun, lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion.

Purchase your tickets now from the Rhodes to Safety website
