Robin Bates is the owner of Robin Bates Dog Training & Puppy School. Robin has been a dog trainer and behaviourist for fifteen years, in the past he has also worked in competitive obedience training and has managed a boarding kennels and dog day-care facility.
As well as being a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK, he is also the Northern Ireland regional manager for Puppy School and is also a Puppy School tutor. Robin also works part time with the dogs at Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary, using positive reinforcement to work on their training before they start their new lives.
As well as his weekly puppy classes, he also teaches classes for adult dogs and also in the area of agility. Robin is also a dog behaviourist visiting with dogs and their owners on a one-to-one basis, giving advice on how owner and dog can work together to make improvements towards resolving these issues.
He has given a number of seminars in the areas of dog training and behaviour and teaches accredited courses for people interested in dog training as a career.
Robin has three rescue dogs of his own, Maggie, Bill and Jake and also Sid the cat.
Ashleigh has been working with dogs in a variety of ways for a number of years, from working in a veterinary practice to fostering many dogs and completing courses on Canine Bereavement, Animal Care, Animal Health, as well as Practical Dog Handling and Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour.
Ashleigh teaches our classes in the Lisburn area and also looks after our one-to-one visits in the North Down area.
Ashleigh has three rescue dogs, Dave, Murphy, and Winston and also an elderly cat named Ellie.
Adeline looks after the admin within the business, answering enquiries, taking bookings for our puppy and adult dog training classes, organising events, talks and our accredited courses.
She has also been assisting Robin with his training classes in the Belfast area for a number of years and has completed the accredited Practical Dog Handling course and Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour course. In her spare time she also helps in her partner's dog walking business.
Adeline has two rescue dogs, Minnie and Megan.
